Business overview

We are delighted and Proud to be the Official Sports Therapist for The World's Strongest Man Competition 2017!

I am a HCPC registered, chartered physiotherapist who qualified in 1993 at Sheffield Hallam University.

Physiotherapists are qualified to assess and treat any condition arising from illness or injury, by physical means. We are also equipped to provide our patients with a diagnosis, where possible, and a treatment plan.

I have worked for many years in the NHS as part of a multidisciplinary team. During this time I have provided physiotherapy to various client groups. Amongst my roles as an NHS physiotherapist I have been a specialist in the fields of Adult Learning Disabilities, Paediatrics, and Mental Health which has contributed to my holistic approach to patient care. I also trained as a hypnotherapist and practitioner of NLP in 1998 to enhance my skills in stress and pain management.

I began work as a private physiotherapist in 2010 and opened Bell Lane Physiotherapy Clinic in Ackworth, Pontefract in 2014.

I strive to continuously improve and develop the service that we offer to our patients at Bell Lane Physiotherapy Clinic. To this end I regularly attend courses for professional development which both add to and enhance my skills as a practitioner. This allows me to give the most up to date, evidence based treatments to my patients.

I am also qualified in the use of acupuncture as part of my varied physiotherapy treatments.

I regularly give public presentations to various organisations about stress management which involve a practical relaxation component.

I have previously worked as a gymnastics coach and taught both student nurses and physiotherapist about the care of adults with profound and multiple disabilities.
