SMALL REPAIRS

Most carpet repairs are small jobs. Please don’t think that replacing just one worn step on a flight of stairs or repairing a single cigarette burn is too small a job.

PET DAMAGE

Cats and dogs are usually responsible for two main types of problems.

The first is when they get inadvertently shut into a room and try to dig their way out. This typically results in frayed carpet by the door frame and sometimes the door bar.

The other common issue I see is when cats use the bottom step of a staircase as a scratching post causing the curved tread to look ragged.

CARPET BURNS

Iron burns, cigarette burns and shisha coal burns are all repairable but are not always invisible when completed.

Utilising the cut and plug method, the burn area is cut out and a new piece of carpet is fitted into the shape and glued into position.

STAIR CARPET REPAIRS

If you have loose carpet on your stairway, don’t leave the problem unaddressed for too long to avoid any unwanted accidents.

I can also extend the life of the whole stair carpet by replacing worn treads with a spare pieces.

DOORWAY CARPET PROBLEMS

Carpet coming away from the door strip is a common issue, often it can become frayed and present a tripping hazard. The carpet can be stretched back and glued into place or the door bar can be replaced with a wider one.

LOOSE BAGGY CARPETS

If your carpets is loose or wrinkled, they can be re-stretched and trimmed.
